1 What did you learn in this class this semester?

I learned a lot of things in this class this semester. There were some difficult questions to answer, but it was good for me. Especially I was interested in Christmas in England. I didn't know about it well, so I think it was good chance to know.

2) What is the purpose, objective, of a newspaper company?

The purpose of a newspaper company is that to write about the details of things. Readers read a newspaper and get some interesting and new informations. So if there is some untrue informations, readers can't believe what is right and what is wrong. Not all, but some readers may take it on trust...(They believe untrue things) So the newspaper company should tell the truth of things to readers.


3) What is the purpose, objective, of a television company?

The purpose of a television company is that to show to audience many informations. Everyday audience watch TV, for example, if we want to know what is happening all over the world now, we can watch the news program on the TV and VTR. But sometimes TV broadcasts wrong information. In Japan,one famous health TV program told wrong information to audience to enhance audience ratings. Audience wants to get some profit informations from TV, so the television company should show reliable informations to audience.


4) What is the purpose, objective of Yahoo! or Google?

The purpose of Yahoo! and Google is that to pick up the information which user wants to get speedy. On the internet we often use search engines. They are very useful but sometimes the engines pick up unnecessary information. If user can't find information which he/she wants to watch or get, it will take long time to find out. So the search engines should give deginite(clear) information and don't pick up unnecessary information.

5) The purpose of all the above is to make money. That is the purpose of all these businesses. How do they make money? By getting as many readers or viewers (”eyeballs”) as possible. If their purpose is to get as many readers or viewers or “eyeballs” as possible, then what kind of news will they publish? Give 2 or 3 examples. What kind of news will they not publish? This news is often broadcasted in Japan, too. Hillary and Obama are different, but they have lots of supporters. I want Hillary to win and be the president. I think she's wise and loved by her supporters. And if she wins, she can be the first woman president in United States.

Student Times

I read this artcle "Ayumi Hamasaki deaf in one ear". She is a one of famous singer in Japan. Her left ear has a illness but she has no time to treat it. And there is no way to treat her defective hearing ironically. So now her left ear doesn't work completely. It is death to singer because singer must tap rhythm and sounnd. She said she continues her business. I think she feels a lot of stress and her schedule is very very hard! So she should not work too much, she has to rest for a while.

1 I went to the parents' house of the mother's side for New Year holidays. And I ate soup containing vegetables and rice cakes with them. Then, I went to the temple of Abiko for a New Year's visit mother and grandparents in the evening. I drown a fortune slip[means "Omikuji".] The result was great good luck. There was so crowded, so when we went home, we were very tired!

1) What is a nativity play?

It is a play which recreates the scene of Jesus’ birth and tells of how Mary and Joseph were visited by the Shepherds and Wise Men.

2) What is a Christmas carol?

Caroling (singing carols in the street) is one of the oldest customs in Great Britain.And Charles Dickens [famous author in England] wrote about it, now this story typifies in Chirstmas season.

3) What is a pantomime?

The pantomime doesn't use line. The pantomimer gestures like a man or woman and makes audience laugh. Originally They play some of fairy stories, folk tales and much loved cartoons, which encourage audience participation.




4) What are mince pies? Find a photo of one.


The filling is a mixture of raisins, sultanas, apricots, glace cherries, candied citrus peel, apples, various types of nuts and mixed spices typically nutmeg and cinnamon. Mince pies should traditionally have a star on top, to represent the "Chirstmas Star"which some believe led the shepherds and Magi to the baby Jesus in Bethlehem.

Christmas pudding is a famous dessert which is served in Chirstmas dinner. It includes sweet custard or brandy sauce. Brandy is often poured over the pudding, which is then set a light as it is carried to the table. The lights are turned off so people can see the flames

Chirstmas cake is which is decorated with the motif of suger of Chirstmas [ex: Santa Claus Reindeer Chiristmas tree Snow man]. In Japan, many companies of confectioneries make Chirstmas cakes and sell them. They have many kinds of flavor! [Chocolate Strawberry Green tea]. And the shape of cake is not only circle. The roll cake is one of example which is different from circle cake.

Burssels sprouts are small cabbages. It look like golf balls.

Mr Nagai was shot as he filmed a protest in Rangoon.

This case can know the situation that priests resist desperately for the aggravation of the Myanmar peace and order and the government of there.And we can think about how we should cope for Myanmar.About life in Myanmar and a problem, I think that we should pay attention to it well.
